2009 Play It Smart National Service Week

From building homes with Habitat for Humanity (Long Beach Poly/Long Beach, CA) to volunteering at homeless shelters and participating in beautification projects (George Washington/Indianapolis, IN) to helping those who are battling cancer (Kashmere/Houston, TX and South San Francisco/San Francisco, CA) Play It Smart member schools took to the community to celebrate National Service Week.

“In years past our schools have always turned out in full force during National Service Week,” said Charles Gomes Executive Director of Play It Smart. “This year was no different, our schools did a tremendous job giving back to their communities. We applaud their efforts and look forward to recognizing them at our annual conference.”
